I am not asking about the week to week expenses after the baby is born. I am trying to get an estimate from people who have already been through this. How much did you approximately spend initially on the baby before he/she was born? Like for the crib & bedding, changing table, dresser, nursery decor, bassinet, pack’n'play, carseat with base, stroller, highchair, bouncy seat, bath tub, etc, etc. Everything you buy before the baby arrives, even all the little things. I am bottle feeding so also bottles, etc. I don’t want an itemized list of the expenses, more like an overall amount you think you spent, or would have spent if you didn’t have a baby shower. Also, any tips or stores that you’ve come accross online besides the obvious Target, Walmart, Babies R Us, etc.

I have had so many problems with Graco products! So, this past weekend we bought our 10 month old daughter a Chicco Cortina stroller. I put her in the stroller and took her for a walk, she started fussing so I reclined the seat all the way back flat [which I loved that it reclined so far and how easy it was to recline].. well as we got back home from our walk [the seat was still reclined back].. my 10 month old sat up after I unbuckled her and she turned around in the seat (as if to crawl towards the back of the stroller) and the whole stroller tipped over backwards causing both her and the stroller to go crashing to the ground [thank goodness for the handle bar, which stopped it about 6in. off the ground or my little one would of smacked her face right off the concrete] My daughter is 22lbs. (way under the weight limit).. has anyone else had this problem? I heard Chicco was so wonderful and now I am really rethinking this stroller!

Okay, this may be long, but I am a 16 year girl who WAS thinking about having a baby. Not anymore, or, for a long time. I used to think, when I have my baby, she is going to be HOOKED UP! But, yeah, this may look impossible, but I added up everything that the baby would need, and included some things that would be used to spoil her. And I forgot to add toys but this is how much for all of these things…

2 bracelets (VERY EXPENSIVE, 300 dollars each)
2 rings (OKAY PIRCE)
and 2 necklaces (A LITTLE EXPENSIVE)

And now, for the price of ALL of that, once again it may look impossible but it’s very possible!!!
